Bowman High Rocks Constitution Day

Students during brunch, Constitution DayBowman students celebrated Constitution Day on Monday, September 19th. During morning and afternoon brunch, all 18-year old students were invited to register to vote.  Some students lined up to get red, white and blue designs painted on their faces. The main event was a game of "Constitution Jeeparty." The game was fashioned on the television game show Jeopardy

Students that elected to play the game were asked to identify the constitutional amendments that give the American people their rights in different situations.  It became clear, based on the heated competition, that all of the contestants were enrolled in American Government classes and were well prepared.

Mike Maness won during the morning brunch, and chose a Chipotle's gift card for his prize. Enrique Miranda won the afternoon competition and quickly chose a Subway gift card for his prize. Face painting, Constitution Day

Throughout the day's events, it was gratifying to see so many teenagers that were well-educated on one of America's most cherished historic documents.
