The Hart School District, in partnership with the Assistance League of Santa Clarita, are working together to help students in need make the dream of attending prom, a reality. Project Prom, now in its third year, is a District-wide program that will serve up to 1,000 students this year by providing prom dresses, suits or a tux rental, shoes, jewelry and other accessories. A collection drive is under way with a need for additional prom dresses to be donated.

William S. Hart UHSD has identified Hart High School, Golden Valley High School, and Placerita Junior High School as having space available to accommodate open enrollment for students residing in the William S. Hart UHSD area in the fall of 2012-2013.

Voters in the William S. Hart Union High School District approved Measure V, a $158 million bond measure in November 2001. Series A of Measure V Bonds were sold in May 2003. The District has an opportunity to "refund" the first series of Measure V Bonds. The Hart Governing Board approved a resolution at a special board meeting on Feb. 1, 2012 to start the process.

The Hart School District has scheduled an online free webinar for Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 6:30 - 7:30 pm, to educate parents and students about drugs that are being used by students in local neighborhoods. This is the fourth in an ongoing series and will focus on alcohol use and abuse.

The Hart School District is pleased to announce that the Golden Oak Adult School jazz band will be performing a concert at 3 pm on Saturday, Dec. 10th, at West Ranch High School Performing Arts Theater. The group is made up of local professional-level adult musicians.
