The mission of La Mesa Jr. High School is to promote the intellectual, ethical, social and physical development of all students, with an emphasis on a strong and challenging standards-based curriculum. Important Information for Parents and Incoming 7th Grade "Lobos"

Proof of the Tdap (Pertussis Vaccine) booster shot will be required for all students entering 7th-12th entry beginning with the 2011-2012 school year. The requirement can be met by receiving one dose of the Tdap vaccine on or after the 10th birthday. Please make sure your child has had or receives their booster shot. Heart To Heart Girls Group: Mission Statement
A group that meets once a week during lunch time. Mrs. Gorlick, school counselor, is the facilitator. The group discusses a variety of topics such as school, friends, and family. The group does community service as well as fundraisers such as writing "letters to Santa" for the Post Office, celebrating Thanksgiving with a luncheon and making picture frames for home-bound seniors. There is always the fun end-of-the-year day trip. The group has gone to Santa Barbara, Catalina, Hollywood and the El Capitan theatre!
