SSR

This year our focus will be on literacy.  Students who read independently do better in school.  We have a special emphasis on the daily SSR (Silent Sustained Reading) program.  Your student must have a novel in her or his backpack EVERY DAY.  Right after lunch, students read for twenty minutes and then record the number of pages as well as a summary sentence about what they read.
