The Placerita After School Theatre Arts program ("Drama Club") meets Monday thru Thursday from 2:40 until 4:30 pm in room 1101. Our club focuses on acting, singing, dancing, improv, set building and artwork sound and light for stage. All with the common goal of producing three shows per year and having a great time. Drama is a great activity for students after school, a perfect environment to make new friends who also love to perform. Once we begin a production a rehearsal schedule is set for the actors.

CALENDAR OF EVENTS FOR  DRAMA 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR

• Placerita School Wide Talent Show
  • Auditions for solo's and group acts is September 14 & 15 in Room 1101 from 2:40 - 4PM. Any Placerita Student may audition. This is a great time for students to showcase their individual talents. All acts must keep a performing time of two minutes per act. All acts and costumes must be age appropriate. In addition to individual performances, drama club will perform three large group acts.
  • Talent Show Performance Dates: September 28 & 29 in Tanner Hall.
• Seussical The Musical, Jr. Show Dates Feb 22 & 23, 2012
  • Auditions: October 10-11-12 in Room 1101 from 2:40 - 4:30PM. Please see Mrs. Kennedy for an audition application the first week of October.
• Spring Play - Comedy Murder Mystery. Show Dates May 23 & 24, 2012.
  • Auditions; March 5/6/7 in Room 1101 from 2:30 - 4:30

All performances are open to the public. Tickets $5.00 students & $7.00 adults
