PAC Meeting - This Tuesday, Sept. 16th we will be holding our first PAC meeting.  Please click HERE to submit your RSVP.  We look forward to seeing you there!

School Portraits:  Your students' portraits have arrived and may be collected in room 615 during lunch on Monday, September 15th, if your child did not collect them on the 11th.

Annual Application for Lunch Program - Click HERE for more information and to apply. Families must apply each year for the program.

8th grade Honor Society News - Do you want to have your child be in the Honor Society Club this semester?   If so, please encourage them to collect an application from the SV Library.  The students must have 16 grade points from their spring semester when adding up their grades from the 3rd and 4th quarter.  An A is worth 3 points and a B is worth 1 point.  In addition, they also need 10 hours of community service to have the application fully complete; community service are located on the Sierra Vista Honor Society website . See the application for more details. The deadline for turning in their paperwork is Friday, September 12th by 2:30 p.m. No late applications will be accepted.

8th grade Washington D.C. Trip - If you are interested in sending your student on the 8th grade Washington D.C. trip, there is still space.  We will have an informational meeting on September 15th at 6:30 in the MPR.  However, if you already went to the meeting, or are already informed and know you want to sign up, you can send your child to see Ms. Kontis in room 626 for a form, or register online at  Feel free to email Ms. Kontis at for any questions.  We hope anyone who desires gets to go on the trip, it really is the trip of a lifetime!!!!

Under the Sea Dance - On September 26th from 2:30-4:30 p.m., we are having our "Under the Sea Dance" in the MPR. This is our first dance of the year. Tickets are $5 Monday and Tuesday, September 22nd and 23rd, $8 Wednesday and Thursday, September 24th and 25th, and finally $10 Friday, September 26th at brunch and lunch in the ASB office.  Finally, there will be photos and food for sale at the dance as well.

Community Service Opportunity - Does your child need community service hours for Honor Society (application deadline is fast approaching).  Is it time to clean out your shoe closets and get rid of those shoes that no longer fit?  You can earn community service hours by donating gently USED shoes.  Please bring your shoes to Ms. Kontis' room, 626, and she will give you community service hours for your donation, five pairs minimum required.  Any type of gently used shoes will do.  These shoes will be donated to help the homeless, and you will be helping your community.
